Textile Artist

Wendy’s interest in weaving as an art form started from the ‘Here and Now’ exhibition at the Holburne Museum in Bath. This exhibition showcased contemporary tapestries from around the world and highlighted the scope of artworks created by handweaving.

Tapestry weaving pulled together her interest in materials, colour and abstract design. Her weavings are mainly worked in wool with the weaving process clearly visible in the final works.

Wendy also works with stitch and is happy to explore and problem solve with new materials.

Wendy studied art at Bath College and has attended courses in the RWA in Bristol and at the Royal Drawing School in Shoreditch.
